If you don’t know your customers, you’re not in the industry for the long haul and probably not in a position to make a lot of money.
Good customer service is one of the most important things that a business can provide its customers. When you dont know your customer, you are not as effective as you can be at selling them products or services. It also means that you are not as able to satisfy your customers if they are unhappy with your service. This can be especially problematic when you are a new business.

I have to say that it is really the act of standing in the way of the people that you want in your business that may get you into trouble. There is no doubt that the customer has a right to know, but if you take it to the extreme, you can take it to the point that the customer is scared off. But in the end, its their right to be here, and they are the ones that have put the time, energy, money, and effort into coming here.
So the customer has a right to be there, but they have an obligation to the business owner to be here. A lot of businesses have their own rules and regulations about how they are run, and if you don’t follow the rules, they will send you somewhere else. I know this because I have been in business for over a decade and in the past I was constantly having to go to the boss to have them break the rules.
